WHO IS DEAR LUNA?
Dear Luna emerged in 2017 when vocalist Taylor Plasz and pianist Michael Schneider first joined forces, blending jazzy, soulful tones in intimate Colorado wineries and local venues. What began as a laid-back duo soon evolved into a full band, laying the foundation for their distinctive alternative pop/rock sound.

By 2025, Dear Luna has grown into a dynamic four-piece group known for emotionally charged songwriting, rich instrumental arrangements, and captivating live performances that consistently resonate with fans.

Their latest single, "On The Ground," marked a major milestone for the band with a recent feature on 93.3 Locals Only, Denver’s premier platform for rising local talent. The track showcases the band’s signature blend of vulnerability and power, earning praise for its anthemic sound and lyrical depth.

Earlier releases like "Ignite," and "Melody of Moving On" continue to gain momentum across streaming platforms, expanding the band’s fanbase far beyond their Colorado roots. With new music on the way, Dear Luna is poised for a breakout chapter—bringing their evocative sound to an even wider audience.
MEET THE BAND

TAYLOR PLASZ - SONGWRITER/ LEAD VOCALIST
Raised on both coasts, Taylor Plasz discovered her voice at a young age, performing with local jazz and blues bands and captivating crowds with her powerful vocal ability. Her deep-rooted passion for music took her to Los Angeles in 2009, where she collaborated with Universal Music on her debut EP—an experience that sharpened her artistic identity in the heart of the industry. Taylor later settled in Denver, Colorado, where she co-founded Dear Luna with pianist Michael Schneider. Immersed in the city’s vibrant music scene, she quickly became known for her evocative songwriting, compelling vocal style, and commanding stage presence. Her lyrics are both intimate and cinematic, often drawing listeners into deeply personal narratives wrapped in rich, melodic textures. Inspired by the soulful grit of Amy Winehouse, the introspective elegance of Norah Jones, and the timeless storytelling of Fleetwood Mac, Taylor's vocal delivery is equally versatile—anchoring Dear Luna’s signature sound with authenticity and heart.

MATEO SEGOVIA - LEAD GUITAR
Plucked fresh from the Lone Star state, Mateo comes from a long standing education in music starting all the way back in elementary school, eventually attending Booker T Washington HSPVA where he pursued vocals, violin, and guitar through various groups and ensembles and taking a year of college at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, just before the pandemic. Now living in Denver, Mateo takes part in several musical endeavors while teaching and working a day job. Mateo takes influence from the stylings of Carlos Santana, Andy Timmons, and Foo Fighters while manipulating the techniques and tendencies of John Frusciante, John Mayer, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

LUKE HARDCASTLE - BASS GUITAR + VOCALS
Luke grew up homeschooled in a musical family where piano was everyone’s first instrument and each day started with a wake up song and ended with a lullaby. In high school he played in bands with Randall Kent and Crisanta Baker (of Lo Moon) and learned a lot about songwriting and execution. After college he decided to finally teach himself the drums and tried everything from playing along with ZZ Top to Incubus and then creating his own beats to the percussioness Nickel Creek. He never stopped writing songs and finally threw himself fully into music after spending almost a decade working with kids with autism because teaching private music lessons started to interfere and a choice needed to be made. Playing solo gigs and also saying yes to anyone who wanted to create music around Denver, he finally found the other members of Dear Luna and hasn’t looked back. Luke brings versatility on instrumentals, creativity in songwriting and quality harmonies to the ensemble.
